Delete Your Account

You can request permanent deletion of your Guitar Maestro account and the personal information associated with it.

Account deletion is permanent. Once completed, your account and learning progress cannot normally be recovered.

Before requesting deletion

Deleting your account may remove:

• Your account profile and account identifiers
• Saved learning progress
• Lesson history and activity records
• Preferences and settings
• Achievements, streaks, points and other gamification records
• Content or information you submitted through the service
• Other personal information directly associated with the account

If you may want to retain any information, save it before submitting your request.

Uninstalling Guitar Maestro does not delete your account.

How to request account deletion

Use the Guitar Maestro contact form and include “Guitar Maestro Account Deletion” in the subject or at the beginning of your message.

Please provide:

• The email address associated with your Guitar Maestro account
• Any account identifier shown in the app, if available
• A clear statement that you want the account permanently deleted

Do not send your password or payment details.

Identity verification

To protect accounts from unauthorised deletion, we may ask you to verify your identity or confirm control of the email address or sign-in method associated with the account.

The deletion period begins once we have received a valid request and completed any reasonably necessary identity verification.

When deletion will be completed

Verified deletion requests are typically completed within 30 days.

We will contact you if we need more information or if applicable law requires or permits certain information to be retained for longer.

Information we may retain

Some limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required, including for:

• Tax, accounting or transaction records
• Fraud prevention, security and abuse investigation
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
• Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations
• Records of the deletion request and its completion

Information retained for these purposes will remain protected and will not be used for unrelated purposes.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted under our normal retention process. Information that has been irreversibly anonymised and can no longer identify you may also be retained.

Subscriptions and purchases

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store or another payment provider.

Cancel any active subscription through the provider used to make the purchase. Account deletion does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

Third-party sign-in accounts

Deleting your Guitar Maestro account does not delete an Apple, Google or other third-party account used to sign in. You must manage those accounts directly with the relevant provider.

Children's accounts

A parent or legal guardian may submit a deletion request for a child's account. We may request information needed to confirm the requester's authority and protect the child's privacy.
